Her educational career commenced in 2013 as a part-time French teacher at CQuals. It was here that Emel discovered a platform that would foster her teaching career and leadership abilities. Over the years, she has become an accomplished educator, proficiently teaching both French and Turkish. Notably, her expertise extends to a special group of students—diplomats from the French Embassy in Cyprus. Emel has been leading a program catering to their language needs for nearly two years, a testament to her dedication and effectiveness as an educator

In addition to her extensive educational background, Emel has actively contributed to a bi-communal book project in collaboration with the Institut Français de Chypre. In this noteworthy endeavor, she co-designed a pedagogical supplement tailored for teachers and an engaging activity book for learners. Emel's commitment to educational innovation and resource development is exemplified through her participation in this project, which aimed to enrich the learning experience of students.

Emel currently serves as the head of the French Department at CQuals, where her role encompasses a diverse array of responsibilities. As the exam officer for international exams, she ensures the smooth administration of assessments, maintaining the highest standards of examination integrity. Emel's dedication extends to course design, where she shapes engaging and effective learning experiences. Moreover, she plays a pivotal role in teacher training programs, nurturing the growth of educators within the institution.

Emel's leadership extends to the International French School (IFS), where she oversees the design and implementation of the academic program. Her responsibilities also encompass teacher-training initiatives, ensuring the professional development of the teaching staff. Emel's commitment to student well-being is evident through her efforts to foster a nurturing environment for pre-school students. Additionally, she actively engages in fostering open communication with parents, emphasizing transparency and collaboration.
